Mission possible – carbon storage

Trees: a solution
James Morrison explains that trees can provide part of the solution to rapid climate change. This is because trees help reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. They do this by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. The video also tells us about the large amount of research being carried out by Forestry Commission scientists, finding out how trees absorb the carbon dioxide, and when they do it best.
